What’s not accepted
The county facilities don’t take these. Plan another way to get rid of them:
- Furniture and carpet
- Construction and remodeling debris, concrete, asphalt, treated wood
- Yard and tree waste (use the Eden Prairie Yard Waste Site)
- Regular garbage
- Asbestos, ammunition, explosives, radioactive or infectious waste, medicines
- Waste from businesses, rental properties or associations
What to bring
- Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill
- Payment for fee items
When hiring a crew makes more sense
The county sites are great for paint, electronics and a single appliance. For furniture, a full garage, remodel debris or anything heavy, the county can’t help, and loading a trailer yourself takes a whole day. A junk removal crew does the lifting and takes most of what the county won’t, in one trip. See our price guide to compare.
